Seriously, what happened to July? First, we celebrated Independence Day,

Geranium
and then it was August.

Somewhere in between, there were

vacations, visits to Virginia

and bushels of beans to snap and can

and a short weekend away to eldest daughters

and bushels of peas to shell, look and can

and ears and ears of corn to shuck, silk, cut off, heat and freeze.

Needless to say, there was very little progress on the Farmhouse.

And now it’s August. And sweltering. Almost to hot for man or beast.  But we lack a floor and trim in order to complete the last room before the Tennyson clan gathers in September.  Our “inactivity” must therefore now cease.
